@azotcsit I think having the incorrect UTF-8 and show how _Java_ auto-corrects it is a good test and serves as a good point to document in a test. Since non-Java applications can send things over the wire, the test I'm thinking we need is something like.. bad UTF-8 characters as byte array coming along the wire.. attempt to read in as UTF-8 and failing on the readUTF8() call. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
