Apologies if my wording gave the impression that my procrastination is due to anything other than my own preferences. There are a couple of items I still don't understand, but I wanted to try to resolve those for myself; for example, I still do not understand why the .dsc file contains references to 'https://salsa.debian.org/smlx-guest/dhcpcd5.git'. I don't see anything in that repo that ties it to dhcpcd upstream version 8.1.2. This is only my curiosity, but I do listen to my curiosity pretty often :) > > I hope to use this time to ponder a few more questions: > > > > - how to add support for 'buster'? > > - how to (and if I should even try) incorporating the 8.1.3 - 8.1.9 > > releases from the 'dhcpcd' upstream sources? > > - linking the 'package' version # to the version # reported by > 'dhcpcd' ? > > - how to verify my package complies with Debian standards? > > These should be answered by gbp's manual and Debian's packaging > information. Yes - it's rather a lot to take in over the course of the few hours I've found to spend on it. I hope that I may continue to depend on your help as it's been essential to my progress so far. Thnx, ~S
