Hi,

We are experimenting here a little with a fresh Tomcat9/Java11 setup
with Geoserver 2.15 on Windows.
Using GDAL from the GREAT Gisinternals.com package of mapserver, I even
got a working ECW store to experiment with ecw's [0].

As a not so much Oracle fan I stumpled upon the RedHat JDK [1]
(also looking at alternatives because all the Oracle licensing rumours
going around)

But questioning now:

- Anybody has enough LEGAL knowledge to draw a conclusion that it is
allowed as a free drop-in replacement of the Oracle JDK in non-personal
environments?

- Is Geoserver supporting or using it (TECHNICALLY)?

My first impressions are good: all works as expected, but maybe others
have more information?

Regards,

Richard Duivenvoorde
