Hi,

I just installed GeoServer 2.12.1, on Windows 7 Professional, using default settings, starting it as a service. There were no error messages and I can see that the service is running. However, when I try to access the Web Administration Interface using http://localhost:8080/geoserver/web I get an error :
HTTP ERROR: 503
Problem accessing /geoserver/web. Reason:
Service Unavailable

I already un-installed and re-installed Java runtime environment because I had several different versions. I now have Java 9.0.4, but I read that GeoServer only works with Java 7.151. Could this be the problem ? If so, where can I get that version ?

Can anyone advise me on what to do ?

Thanks in advance
Jan Groenestein
