I was wondering if anyone has ever built a dynamic datastore or feature type that generates output on the fly. Specifically, I was thinking about the MGRS grids. I can either pre-generate each level of MGRS from the 100KM down to 1m, but I suspect that will result in millions of records in a DB. However, if there is a dynamic store that exposes a feature type definition which is dynamically generated, then a WMS call, at least, should have enough information to generate an image with the "appropriate level of detail".
