Hello,

We use a PostgreSQL database to store vector and raster layers, but can't
use the PostGIS extension at the moment because the database is hosted in a
cloud environment with some restrictions.

Is there any possibility to store vector and raster layers as blobs/binary
objects in a database column and directly access and visualize the layers in
GeoServer with some GS extension? Would there be any benefit compared to
storing and accessing the layers in the file system?

Thanks
