org.apache.catalina.loader.WebappClassLoader clearReferencesJdbc
SEVERE: The web application [/geoserver] registered the JDBC driver
[org.hsqldb.jdbc.JDBCDriver] but failed to unregister it when the web
application was stopped. To prevent a memory leak, the JDBC Driver has been
forcibly unregistered.) I deleted the plugin and the Geoserver started.

I did a quick smoke test of the war on tomcat 7 (on my Linux laptop). I see

Checked layer preview looked OK for each of the data sets. I checked
openlayers for each, and a couple of other formats along the way.
I added the CSW and WCS-EO extensions and verified that the server looks OK and
that CSW GetCapabilities works.
Checked GetCapabilities works for WCS 2.0.1, TMS, WMS-C, WMTS.
Looks good.
