Hi Simon,
Right now the imageMosaic is the only raster format which provides advanced
capabilities such as transparency management, masking, background values,
.... Anyway, you can setup a mosaic of any other "basic" raster format data.
Therefore, you may consider setting up a mosaic made of your ECW data and
use the ImageMosaic capabilities:
