I've been trying to use VIEWPARAMS on the following WMS query

is applying VIEWPARAMS filter properly.
I'm using Geoserver 2.1.4 and downloaded extension from
https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/tree/2.1.4/src/extension/imagemap
Any advice will be highly appreciated :-)
