Datline crossing has been handled so far only for vector data, no work
has been done to deal with rasters crossing the dateline, so it's not
strange it does not work.
For the moment I'd suggest to slice the rasters at the dateline and
create two layers, or get someone to add "advanced projection
handling" on raster data too.
