Hi, I have a pc with: - windows 7 - 64 bit - SQL Server 2008 r2 - Jre6 - Geoserver (Version 2.1-SNAPSHOT Subversion Revision -1) - Microsoft SQL Server JDBC Driver 3.0 - Chrome browser
I'm not a computer expert but I have go to work with Geoserver and SQL server together because my company use SQL server DB. The scope is query data from sql db inside Geoserver. I haven't this db yet and I don't know which protocols and ports for the instance SQL working with. I download (sqljdbc_3.0.1301.202_enu.exe) from here http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=19847 Follow this istructions (Installing the SQL Server extension) http://docs.geoserver.org/stable/en/user/data/sqlserver.html I copy the file sqljdbc4.jar in WEB-INF/lib I download OpenGeo with Geoserver I go to administrator page of Geoserver. When I try to create a new data source I expet to find sql server icon but under vector data source there are only default icons (layer, shape, etc etc). I don't know what I can do....
