I am running Geoserver 2.02.(not locally installed) I installed PostGIS and postgresql on my laptop,i connect to PostGIS using the command line tool. I was able to create a database and connect to it and added tables to it.
Now i wanted to connect to this database through Geoserver and add the tables to Geoserver. When i try, i get an error saying: "Error creating data store, check the parameters. Error message: Unable to obtain connection: Cannot create PoolableConnectionFactory (Connection refused. Check that the hostname and port are correct and that the postmaster is accepting TCP/IP connections.)" .
