You could use the restconfig extension. With that it would just be a simple call to :
curl -G http://.../geoserver/rest/layergroups/<theLayerGroup>.xml Would send you back something like: <layerGroup> <name>world</name> <layers> <layer> <name>borders</name> <atom:link xmlns:atom="http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom" rel="alternate" href="http://suite.opengeo.org/geoserver/rest/layers/borders.xml" type="application/xml"/> </layer> <layer> <name>cities</name> <atom:link xmlns:atom="http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom" rel="alternate" href="http://suite.opengeo.org/geoserver/rest/layers/cities.xml" type="application/xml"/> </layer> </layers> <styles> <style> <name>world_borders</name> <atom:link xmlns:atom="http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom" rel="alternate" href="http://suite.opengeo.org/geoserver/rest/styles/world_borders.xml" type="application/xml"/> </style> <style> <name>world_cities</name> <atom:link xmlns:atom="http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom" rel="alternate" href="http://suite.opengeo.org/geoserver/rest/styles/world_cities.xml" type="application/xml"/> </style> </styles> <bounds> <minx>-180.0</minx> <maxx>180.0</maxx> <miny>-90.0</miny> <maxy>83.624</maxy> <crs>EPSG:4326</crs> </bounds> </layerGroup> -Justin On Mon, Aug 16, 2010 at 10:05 AM, Pedro Mendes <[email protected]> wrote: > > Hi list, > > Is it possible to know which layers compose a layergroup in GS 2.0.2? > The WMS GetCapabilities request only expose normal layer attributes for a > layergroup. > > Cheers, > Pedro Mendes > > -- > View this message in context: > http://old.nabble.com/Retrieving-layer-names-from-a-layergroup-tp29449171p29449171.html > Sent from the GeoServer - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com. > > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > This SF.net email is sponsored by > > Make an app they can't live without > Enter the BlackBerry Developer Challenge > http://p.sf.net/sfu/RIM-dev2dev > _______________________________________________ > Geoserver-users mailing list > [email protected] > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/geoserver-users > -- Justin Deoliveira OpenGeo - http://opengeo.org Enterprise support for open source geospatial.
