Hi, I want to perform some spectral based operations (Radial average spec.) on a large area (60º degrees in Longitude and 25º degrees in Latitude). I need to transform coordinates to cartesian (meters) to properly infer some magnetic causative bodies depths.
Could I use World Mercator projection? I have seen some discrepancies (i.e.) If I get distances between pair of arbitrary points I see differences with ranges obtained when instead I use UTM coordinates (selecting as UTM zone that from the working area’s central median).
