it is not time wasted. It saves time you don't have to spend on sending mails to the list ;) Seriously thought, the documentation is very good and helpfull. Most daily problems can be solved easily after reading it. For compilation problems it saves a lot of your time if you look into bugs.gentoo.org first. Ok, the search interface sucks very much - as with all bugzillas, but it is still usefull.
