I see. It was not really clear to me if it is only related to 4965 or if it also is true for the 3945. Thanks for pointing out! One more question: I followed the howto for Intel 3945 and also the handbook ( http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/handbook-x86.xml?part=4&chap=4 ). I am using wpa_supplicant. But I think I am missing now a configuration for /etc/init.d/net. What information do I have to provide there?
