You are doing something wrong, as that exact same config works here. Do you have the kde-testing overlay installed? Did you emerge @kde-4.2 or emerge @kde? The latter will give you you the latest unstable snapshots which may or may not work. Use these links, etc: a...@nazgul ~ $ ls -al /etc/portage/package.keywords/kde* lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 85 Feb 11 17:15 /etc/portage/package.keywords/kde-4.2 - > /var/portage/local/layman/kde- testing/Documentation/package.keywords/kde-4.2.keywords a...@nazgul ~ $ ls -al /etc/portage/package.unmask/kde* lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 76 Feb 26 09:46 /etc/portage/package.unmask/kde-4.2 -> /var/portage/local/layman/kde-testing/Documentation/package.unmask/kde-4.2.0 Then copy the set file from $PORTDIR/local/layman/kde-testing/sets/kde-4.2 to /etc/portage/sets, then run emerge -av @kde-4.2 If you don't have the overlay installed, I can send you then files as attachments if you want. -- alan dot mckinnon at gmail dot com
