Hi together,

I am trying to capy a DVD. Somewhere it does not work as I want it. What
I did until now:

#mplayer dvd://
#dd if=/dev/cdrom of=~/folder/moviedvd.iso
#mplayer -dvd-device ~/folder/moviedvd.iso dvd://

I do not have any problem playing the iso file this way.

#du -m moviedvd.iso
8016 moviedvd.iso

This results in the first dvd+r dl I try to burn.

#cdrecord -dao -v -gracetime=3 -dev=/dev/cdrom1 ~/folder/moviedvd.iso

For the output see below. I cannot see any error - is there one?

When trying to play the dvd:

 #mplayer dvd://
a52: error at resampling
xscreensaver-command: not active: idle timer reset.
a52: CRC check failed! 0.279 ct: 0.000 1/ 1 ??% ??% ??,?% 0 0 51%
a52: CRC check failed!
a52: error at resampling
a52: CRC check failed! 0.193 ct: 0.008 7/ 7 ??% ??% ??,?% 0 0 78%

What I tried until now:

#regionset /dev/cdrom1
regionset version 0.1 -- reads/sets region code on DVD drives
Current Region Code settings:
RPC Phase: II
type: NONE
vendor resets available: 4
user controlled changes resets available: 5
drive plays discs from region(s):, mask=0xFF

Would you like to change the region setting of your drive? [y/n]:y
Enter the new region number for your drive [1..8]:2
New mask: 0xFFFFFFFD, correct? [y/n]:y
Region code set successfully!

Trying to burn the dvd again has the same error when playing it. Does
anyone have an idea what I can do to go on?

Thanks
