Uh, that will cause the eclasses in ${PORTDIR} to be overshadowed (just like the same version of any ebuild in the overlay will overshadow the ebuilds in ${PORTDIR}. If you really want to keep two trees separate and use them both, you should use a package manager that has proper support for multiple repositories (like Paludis ;)... -- Bo Andresen
