Thanks a lot for the comment: I was wondering whether no-one was interested or whether my planned set-up was so good no-one bothered to say so (smile). I did look at the beginning of a thread this week re CPU/cooling/audio, but it didn't seem relevant to my very ordinary desktop needs: the machine wb overkill, but needs to last 4 years like the present one. Your machine is a laptop (if I googled correctly) & I'm not sure how an Intel 810 relates to the Intel 3100 listed above. > You might want to find a store which has a system with this mobo > and see in anybody's liveCD (Knoppix, Gentoo, etc) boots up > with a graphics driver other than vesa. That's easier said than done (smile). Further comments on this or other aspects are most welcome. -- ========================,,============================================ SUPPORT ___________//___, Philip Webb : [EMAIL PROTECTED] ELECTRIC /] [] [] [] [] []| Centre for Urban & Community Studies TRANSIT `-O----------O---' University of Toronto -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list
