Thanks a lot for the comment: I was wondering whether no-one was interested
or whether my planned set-up was so good no-one bothered to say so (smile).

I did look at the beginning of a thread this week re CPU/cooling/audio,
but it didn't seem relevant to my very ordinary desktop needs:
the machine wb overkill, but needs to last 4 years like the present one.
Your machine is a laptop (if I googled correctly)
& I'm not sure how an Intel 810 relates to the Intel 3100 listed above.

That's easier said than done (smile).
