Thank you very much for this link! I finally installed arabtex like this: 1. Kopie the */arabtex directories to their right place in /usr/share/texmf/ 2. cd /usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/arabtex/ && texhash Thats it ... (its not nice ... but its working).
