Yea, having something broke and you're the only one is not a good feeling. I even used mirrorselect -i to get all the USA mirrors. O_O I made a back-up of make.conf first though. I have read about it at least. I'll test mine after my nightly ritual, emerge --sync && emerge -uvp world. Meantime we'll give each other moral support.
