There's a patch on the mplayer mailing list for adding full ass/ssa
support, it should be in svn soon and hopefully into an mplayer
release... If so, mplayer will be the first linux player with styled
ass subtitle support.
Cool. No need for fancy karaoke effects, but I hope at least colors, positioning and such stuff for translating signs will work good, and hopefully also embedded fonts in mkv files?
