It's still in the same place as it was before, and is *definitely* there in both 2.6.17 and 2.6.17-gentoo. (the actual change occurred in rc4) Processor type and features -> Memory split Note that CONFIG_EMBEDDED is not in the same place. General setup -> Configure standard kernel features
