Well... No effect. Even when I open a new terminal, there is no change. I also tried env-update and source /etc/profile, with no result.
opening a new xterm is not a login ... what if you open a new session in a virtual-console ? (ctrl-alt-f2 for example) Does it work ? regards, Boris.
