[gentoo-user] SSL error

I'm trying to follow the online gentoo doc... installing a vitural 
mailhosting system with postfix guide.

But when trying to generate a certificate request I get the following error:
# ./CA.pl -newca
unable to load certificate
26201:error:0906D06C:PEM routines:PEM_read_bio:no start 
line:pem_lib.c:637:Expecting: TRUSTED CERTIFICATE

Anyone know why I'd get that error?
