I've tried Gnome several times. I guess what turned me off was 6 or 7 years ago when I installed it and Nautilus virtually took over my machine. Granted I was a relative noobie to Linux, but KDE seemed to be much more to my liking. Each time I've tried Gnome since, I suppose I was prejudiced against it. I'm 56. I don't want to change. I do run Windowmaker on my older/slower machine, but that box just sit's there headless most of the time, doing it's own thing. -- Regards, Ernie -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
