Hi Holly. do you have WIPE_TMP="yes" in /etc/conf.d/bootmisc? if not (and you don't have any other means of cleaning /tmp, chances are you have too many files in /tmp (e.g. every movie you ever viewed with firefox). you can change the setting like the example above and reboot the machine and it'll clean you /tmp.
note however that every boot will completely wipe out every file you have in /tmp. Bye -- Haim
