I'm a novice when it comes to the kernel, but I had some power issues on my new rig when setting it up. My notes say that: - putting reboot=acpi on the kernel command line helped - I disabled hibernation (CONFIG_HIBERNATION), since it's not recommended for my RAM size (128GiB) [1]. [1]: https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Handbook:AMD64/Installation/Disks#What_about_swap_space.3F I also disabled apmd from my OpenRC configurations, since it was consistently failing to come up (and I don't need it with acpid). I haven't actually tried any of the suspend modes though. I mostly just i3lock and turn off the monitor, heh… I do need to get some sort of idle lock set up at some point. -- D. Ben Knoble
