Thanks, I was hoping to avoid that as I was hoping for a simple
disable/enable switch somewhere - eselect repository disable looks like
it only covers sync.

What would happen if you removed the info for the Gentoo repo from
repo.conf? I'd think it would then only see the other two repos. If
so, would that accomplish what you want? Might be worth a try. I'm
not sure how you would sync the tree tho.
