I look at tech as having two pricing models - the champagne model for the new stuff, where doubling performance doubles the price. And the coke model for older tech, where transport costs dominate, and different specs don't differ much in price. If I can get my tech at the "knee", where champagne prices become coke prices, I'm happy.
