The MO is STRIX B250F GAMING. I assumed it would be somewhat better than a USB card (and the Behring model I have is not that high end) Anyway, I just build (and modprobe'd) the modules snd-usb-audio and snd-bcd2000, and still no joy: arecord -D usbstream:CARD=PCH -fdat -r 48 test.wav ALSA lib /var/tmp/portage/media-plugins/alsa-plugins-1.2.1/work/alsa-plugins-1.2.1/usb_stream/pcm_usb_stream.c:508:(_snd_pcm_usb_stream_open) Unknown field hint arecord: main:828: audio open error: Invalid argument Jorge
