I don't know if it's caching, but it definately works well on my (small) home network. I use Webmin for management, and it works great. I also use ISC dhcpd to assign my systems their static internal IP addresses by their MAC address, and to give the location of the DNS server, so I don't have to do any network configuration on my clients. It really works well for me.
