I have taken an intermediary step, to no avail: perl-cleaner --all ; java-check-environment ; python-updater ; revdep-rebuild -- --keep-going ; eclean-dist -d -t1m -s50M -f All is clean so I rebooted; to no avail, so it's something weird.... thx, James
