I have done similar things in the past. I think the idea is that with the LVM partition type, the tools can auto detect. The reality is, the tools scan all the block devices. It is possible to change the partition type from Linux to LVM without a reinstall. I would just reboot afterwards to be safe. -- Joost -- Sent from my Android device with K-9 Mail.
