In the case of grip, I'd normally agree, but I've had it pounded into my head since the 90s that buffer overflows are particularly bad, from a security standpoint. Admittedly, CD ripping tools (hopefully) aren't going to be a major attack vector. In the case of bzr, I'm not sure it should be considered of low importance in a source-based distro. Still, the program simply doesn't work (when doing a checkout).
