I'm still getting this after doing an emerge -u (without the -D)

rygel ~ # emerge -puD world -t

These are the packages that I would merge, in reverse order:

Calculating world dependencies ...done!
 [blocks B ] gnome-base/gnome-desktop (is blocking
gnome-base/gnome-core-1.4.2-r1)
 [nomerge ] net-misc/whois-4.7.2
 [ebuild U ] net-dns/libidn-0.5.15 [0.5.13]
 [nomerge ] x11-plugins/gkrellm-sensors-0.1
 [ebuild N ] sys-apps/lm_sensors-2.9.1
 [nomerge ] net-wireless/gtkskan-0.2
 [ebuild N ] gnome-base/gnome-core-1.4.2-r1

How can I tell what wants gnome-core? It is not installed now because I
deleted it when this problem first arose.

Any other suggestions on how to solve this problem?
