Oh, one other oddity. The vmware modules vmmon and vmnet which should be loaded by /etc/init.d/vmware in default mode, don't get loaded. Can't figure out why.
Make sure the kernel version in /usr/src/linux matches the version of the kernel currently running. What does the following command says? # ls /etc/vmware Cheers, AS -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
