Are you using the RC_DEVICE_TARBALL (check: /etc/conf.d/rc)? If so, then all you need to do is to: 1. Unload the modules 2. Create the appropriate device nodes with MAKEDEV 3. Reboot If not, then you may have to try loading the modules from /etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.6 I'm not sure if the RC_DEVICE_TARBALL setting was in /etc/rc.conf in earlier baselayout versions or not...but maybe that is the problem -Richard -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
