Looking in the messages, think about some things: 1.Check if you have support for your mobo's chipset in kernel (LBA-message). 2.Make sure to enable 'DMA' for your drives (see hdparm) WFM. For me speedx2 = speed-6. Since i switched to DVD-RW can't write ISO-images using "cdrecord" (CLI), but haven't investigated much. Also haven't tried "growisofs' from the command line. It must work as k3b is a wrapper IMHO. HTH. Rumen
