Hi, Cheryl-- Usually the solution to this is to go to /etc/init.d and remove the script for the offending unmerged program. I'm sure there's some reason that such scripts are not removed by the unmerge, but I don't know what it is. YMMV, but hope this helps. Holly -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
