It doesn't seem to make a difference. The fact of the matter is, my machine boots fine running 2.6.9-gentoo-rc14. It refuses to boot, eventually freezing while doing something related to the three SATA drives (maxtor 250G) installed when trying to boot any other kernel, including my latest attempt - vanilla 2.6.12-rc3. -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
