You should ensure that you've got the little connector cable between the cdrom and the sound card. Personally my sound card doesn't have the capability to receive input from the cdrom drive, so I'm forced to use xmms with the cdreading pluggin... YMMV. -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
