Thanks. I tried it but still NOT working.

It seems like some problem with liborbit package because all compilations seem
to stop at this point

orbit-idl-2 2.12.2 compiling
  mode, show preprocessor errors, passes: headers

gcc-config error: Could not run/locate "i386-pc-linux-gnu-gcc"
Error: Empty file

../../../src/orb/orb-core/corba-defs.idl compilation failed

how to convince liborbit not to use i386-.... ?
