There's no 'end-user' difference. The two implementations are supposed to be API-compatible, but there are some known apps that have issues with NPTL (don't ask me what they are, but I'm sure someone here knows what they might be) which is why both are normally installed/built by default under gentoo. -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
