Well, you always get them on amd64. But that's not what those USE flags are for -- they enable or disable x86-specific assembly stuff where relevant. On amd64, it's not relevant. I wanted to call the flags x86-3dnow, x86-sse, ppc-altivec, sparc-vis and so on to avoid this problem.
