Hello, I am using IPv6 over IPv4 at home without any problem. I had to recompile my kernel to enable IPv6 support and add the protocol to /etc/rc.conf: PROTOCOLS="1 2 10" There is a good guide in the gentoo.org documentation about IPv6 [1]. It explains how to set up an IPv6 router but its beginning can also be used for a workstation (kernel, iproute2, applications, etc.) I am using btexact [2] as a tunnel broker because it provides a simple script to configure the tunnel.
