Yea, with an athlon 2600+ it might not be worth it.  But when every
CPU cycle is precious like it is for me, having that mpeg decoding
would be a plus.  In the more general sense it may be of use if the
computer was of the silent fanless type and at a low clock speed.  But
yes, if its a full power desktop the 350 might not be worth it. 
Unless u are looking solely for outputting video to the tv and not
regular apps, and u don't already have a card with tv out support.
