You didn't say gentoo & W4L versions, but I'll bet good money that the W4L you have may need kernel-2.4.......
Thus if you're running k26.... you'll probably need to upgrade the W4L.


In either case, I'm sure that teh best thing that you can do is to ask this on W4L -- Gour among others use W4L under Gentoo, so there *will* be good help there.
