I'm trying to do this as well. From what I can tell xdm does reverse name lookups for all connecting hosts and if it cannot resolve the IP address to a name it does not manage the remote display (even with wildcards). I have not tested this theory because I'm lazy/busy, but add the hostname and IP address of the remote display to /etc/hosts and see if it works. -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list
